Judge Robert N Wilson presided in Rom 453 as jurors denied under cross examination that prejudice against the colored race influenced their verdict in the murder trial of Mary Lizzie Peace. The defendant was accused of stabbing Samuel Harris on Pay Bata street April 22 1912. Miss Lizzie Simmons testified she saw the act and Peace with a bloody knife. The trial lasted nearly two days with favorable remarks toward counsel C Edward Dickerson.
