Mrs Isa bella McClure Convicted of Second Degree Murder
Atlantic City January 9. Mrs Isa bella McClure was sentenced to from fifteen to thirty years in State prison by Supreme Court Justice Black after a jury in Mays Landing found her guilty of murder in the second degree. She shot and killed her husband, John McClure, a tailor, several months ago.

Plantation owner shoots servant after request for Christmas money
Lancaster January 8. C W Hinson a white plantation owner in Pine Bluff section shot and instantly killed Hamp Wade a negro tenant when Wade asked for Christmas money. The shooting occurred on the plantation. Wade died at once.

Heroic Fireman Honored For Saving Baby
Fireman David Mullen of Engine Company No 11 received a distinguished service gold medal from the city for risking his life to save a two month old infant from a Bainbridge Street fire in December. He entered through smoke to reach the child strapped in a rocking chair then had the baby taken to hospital. Mullen, thirty, has seven years with the fire force and a spotless record. He downplays the praise but values the honor as a mark of duty nobly performed.

Man Sentenced in Robbery of 12-Year-Old
