Dr JH N Waring Dies Suddenly At 0ld Home
Dr J H N Waring superintendent of Downingtown Industrial School died suddenly last Saturday at his former home in Cohhituate Massachusetts of heart disease. He had been in good health until leaving the school a week earlier to visit Massachusetts for the holidays. He succeeded Dr Creditt as head of the school and was a noted educator who once led the High School in Baltimore. His remains were interred in Washington DC on Wednesday January 2. The school opened after holidays with Rev Scott Wood as Acting Principal.

Florida Youth 13 Murdered by Four White Motorists
Gene Burman, 24, of Jacksonville, was found dead in the woods after Sunday afternoon. He was shot and his head crushed with an axe. Witnesses testified four white men killed him in a car and fled. Burman’s sister identified the body. No motive is known.

Rev Sabine Bari, long time author of Onward Christian Soldiers and Now the Day is Over, died aged nearly ninety. Ten Men Resist Mob Until Troops Arrive
