In New York a shooting occurred on a limousine on Hundred and Thirtieth Street and Seventh Avenue. Raymond Amos shot his wife Lucia in the car after jumping on a running board, then killed himself. Jury Acquits Woman in Murder Charge in Quarter Sessions
Mrs. Rena Jefferson of South Bouvier street was acquitted by a jury before Judge Aurenried in Quarter Sessions Court of murder. The prosecution argued Robert Te. Hillstock had threatened her life and entered her home on multiple visits before his death on May 3. Jefferson bought a revolver and fired when he forced entry the morning of the third visit.
