Special to The Philadelphia Times from Dover Delaware reports Mrs Herbert Conner of Philadelphia died at night after arriving a week earlier for a visit. She developed a violent smallpox case and is believed to have contracted the disease during her stay near Camden.
At the Donnelly-Ryan Democratic convention in downtown city halls, Magistrate Charles P. Donnelly outlined proposed rules to expand voter participation and curb fraudulent certificates. A fifteen member committee was appointed to revise the rules and report back at an upcoming session.
In Troy Tennessee early today burglars robbed the Bank of Troy. Citizens armed themselves and attacked the robbers who fled dropping several packages of silver and about 1200 dollars in valuables. A posse with bloodhounds pursues.
