A compiled list from dispatches shows estimated fatalities in the storm torn across Columbia and several Tennessee towns including La Grange Lavogne Thompson Nolansville and Love Station. The figures reflect severe loss of life with localities cited for the disaster.
Reports from Mississippi and Tennessee describe a severe tornado path from La Grange to Batesville affecting farms and towns. Fatalities include named residents in Columbia and nearby areas, with extensive property damage and downed telegraph lines slowing news as estimates reach dozens dead and many injured.
The Red Star Line steamer Friesland captained by Nickels, sailing from New York on November 7 to Southampton and Antwerp, was towed by two tugs after losing her rudder stock on November 15. The deceased include Walter Moody a white man and two Black women. Rain overwhelmed the scene as the narrative continued on page three.
Washington reports Adjutant General Corbin announces the War Department will bring home from the Philippines all volunteers who wish to return to the United States to discharge them by July 1 next. The department aims to replace the volunteer force with a permanent force and re enlist willing veterans as regulars to fill vacancies.
In South Trenton, John Orkisk of Second Street was beaten by three neighbors of his wife after he returned from a two day spree and assaulted his wife. The women Mary Watson Jennie Smith and Eva Cornish used brooms to subdue him until police arrived. he was jailed on $200 bail after pleading for release.

At noon his temperature was normal but his pulse and respiration were very high signaling disease progression. Delirium marks his waking hours though physicians have said they hope for recovery.
Thomas Farley a tinsmith and his wife were found dead in their New York tenement rooms with both shot through the temple. Police believe the husband killed his wife and then himself likely on Sunday. The landlady reported not seeing the couple since morning and noted Mrs Farley had facial injuries.
The Duke and Duchess of Manchester were welcomed at Tandergee Castle Armagh with bonfires illuminations and cheering crowds. A Cape Town dispatch published in the Evening Journal reports General Schalk Burger head of the South African Republic since Kruger's departure has died of wounds from battle with the British. The death is dated November 21 and announced from New York.

A crowd from the Betz Building political machine leaves Philadelphia for a weeklong fishing trip in Florida. The Rambler is stocked for travel and the party departs at 7:20 yesterday morning in a merry mood. Members include Israel Durham, James McNichol, James F. Klemmer, James Franklin, Director English, with John Mack joining in Washington. The week will be spent in Florida and they expect to return to Philadelphia on Thanksgiving morning.

Nancy Hollifield, claimed oldest woman in the state, died in Ellenboro yesterday at an age reportedly between 110 and 121 years. Her death marks the passing of a long lived resident of North Carolina.
