Brody's case at first, Beerger denies, 80 the Traction claim agents say, that he ever went to Norristown with Dr. Newmayer or that he had anything to do with the case. Levin has fled the State and cannot be located. Several other arrests in Mrs. Brody's case will be made this week and the Traction Company officials are confident of being able to lay many plots to rob the company by means of fraudulent claims.
Mrs Marion Thornton Egbert of Chicago spent thirty thousand miles across the world in a two year search for her kidnapped daughter. Disguised as a nun at times, she traced the child to Madras India where the recovery was announced. The abduction by Dr J W Egbert occurred September 23, 1900 at Fifty fifth Street and Madison Avenue.

D F Savage of the Rockaway polo team is resting comfortably at Bryn Mawr Hospital after a Saturday match with the Philadelphia Country Club at Bryn Mawr left him with a broken thigh and ribs. His pony was struck by W Hinckle Smiths mount, unseating Savage as both ponies tumbled.
Detective McKenty pressed charges against a man identified as a practicing physician and a woman named Freda Chamberlain for conspiracy in the illegal practice of medicine. Detectives Donaghay and McKenty arrested them after a DA led inquiry. The man reportedly practiced as Dr De La Bonte at 1221 Arch Street, facing about fifteen charges with $5,000 bail set for a further hearing.
In Cabin Hollow five miles from Middlesboro Kentucky a fight between rival dive keepers left Henry and James Shackelford dead and Smith Overton fatally wounded. The Shackelfords ran a saloon near Hopper and Miller who also owned a nearby place. Proponents say Hopper killed both Shackelford brothers and Overton sided with Hopper. No arrests yet and further trouble is feared.
Five masked men attempted to enter E. F. Hamshorst’s Barnesville home where wedding gifts valued at thousands were stored. Armed farmers pursued and cornered the robbers in a barn. a desperate gunfight followed before the intruders fled into darkness.
Bloomsburg June 22 burglars entered the Derr Brothers restaurant on Main Street in the early hours and robbed the cash register of 100 dollars. The theft was daring as patrons and others were in various parts of the building and on the street.
About 200 Kane Pantemakers Union members of United Garment Workers of America strike for higher wages and a ten hour workday. The stoppage continues as workers press management for concessions.
A Chestnut Hill trolley car 1275 careened down Hillcres avenue at nine last night, rear ending the car ahead after brakes failed. Twenty five people were injured including Henry Diegel and Mrs Augustus Shine. motorman Donohue narrowly escaped death as crowds rushed to aid victims and Hillcrest avenue was blamed for the danger.
John Philip Sousa and his son Philip reached Hammonton after a rough thirty mile ride from Philadelphia in a severe rain storm. Their horses were frightened by thunder and struggled to stay on the road before the travelers continued toward Atlantic City.

Also aboard saloon passenger George Kennan and Professor Angelo of Philadelphia Geographical Society.
In Omaha June 22 a meeting of machinists and boiler makers failed to reach definite action. Spokesman said the Brotherhood of Boiler Makers would wait a day or two while the Gar Bulkters’ Union concludes talks with rail officials and expressed confidence in a possible escalation if no progress.
