Johann Kauffman a Bavarian about 50 murdered his wife Rosina and their three children aged four and four months in Stockton then hanged himself. Neighbors discovered the bodies in a one half of a double cottage at 2813 Cleveland Ave Stockton. The killer altered clothes after washing and preparing, suggesting premeditation. The crime occurred between Wednesday morning and last night with a one month old baby among the victims.
