Wanted wait for his bride in Philadelphia court
Paul Carastagin an Armenian upholsterer who came to this country five years ago and lives in West Philadelphia sent for his 16 year old Armenian wife who had married him two years earlier at her hometown. Her two Philadelphia adopted brothers stopped a reunion on arrival and she said she did not wish to return because he whipped her. In Judge Davis court the husband sought a writ of habeas corpus to gain possession of his wife. There was no proof the wife was restrained by her brothers, so the judge discharged the case.
