Bulletin from Osborne House Isle of Wight dated January 21 reports the Queen's condition worsening with the royal family gathered in the bed chamber. A later bulletin says the Queen still lives with no change in her condition, signaling the crisis remains unresolved.
A heavily loaded freight train ran wild down Sand Patch grade on the Pittsburg division of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad last night. The crew leaped clear as the train at sixty miles an hour threatened a helper at Sand Patch Pennsylvania. Engineer Thomas Burton of Glenwood and Fireman James Higgins of Cumberland were severely hurt. Engineer Hetrick of the helper was badly cut and bruised but escaped being caught in the debris.
Anthony Margony, 39, of 911 Boston avenue, hanged himself in his cellar after breakfast. He left four children, the eldest 14, following his wife’s death three months prior and financial trouble tied to a German benefit society. His 1-year-old son found him. neighbors cut him down and Dr. EB Stenger pronounced him dead.
John Wisen, a duck hunter from the Upper Niagara, went beyond the danger line and was swept over the American falls as a companion, Joseph Marsh, was rescued by FE. A. Deeds of Niagara Falls, president of the Board of Engineers of the Natural Food Company. A fierce gale battered the river this morning.
A river accident near Port Day ends in the deaths of Marsh and Wisen after their boat is swept toward the American rapids. Marsh is saved by Henry Parky and his secretary Colby before collapsing from shock. Wisen vanishes beneath the current. Parky offers a hundred dollars for a safety device idea.

John Bernard, 56, of 2007 North Eleventh Street, fell from a trolley at Twenty ninth Street and Columbia Avenue last night. The end of his nose was cut off and his kneecap fractured. He is hospitalized at German Hospital.

In Burlington on January 20 Mrs. Benjamin Borden stood before an open grate when her clothing caught fire. Her youngest daughter grabbed a heavy overcoat and smothered the flames, saving her mother from serious burns.

A 15 year old boy was found dead beside Reading Railway tracks near Fountain Green Park. He died at German Hospital after police transported him from Girard Avenue station. It is believed the Royal Blue express struck him earlier, details uncertain.
Citizens of Fulton county Pennsylvania have raised the required $50,000 for a railroad project from the Baltimore and Ohio at Hancock Maryland to McConnellsburg the county seat twenty five miles. Paris reports the Count de Lubersac and Baron Robert de Rothschild dueled on Edmond de Rothschild’s Boulogne estate. The fight lasted ten minutes with Lubersac fatally wounded in the arm, life not in danger, and the pair halted as Rothschild’s sword pierced Lubersac’s arm above the elbow.
The British four masted ship Moel Tryvan foundered in the channel near Cherbourg on January 20. Seven crew members of eighteen were saved, picked up clinging to a keel of a boat and brought to Cherbourg. The vessel, 1,566 tons net, built 1884 at Sunderland, length 256 feet, beam 38 feet, depth about 25 feet, owned by Roberts Owen J of Carnarvon, captained by EF Jones, last surveyed New York July 1898.
Fireman William A. Mooney aged 27 of 610 Filbert Street suffered a crushed right foot when hose toppled in the piano sales rooms of F A North & Co at 1308 Chestnut Street yesterday afternoon. He belonged to chemical engine No 1. The blaze started from an overheated heater in the cellar and was put out with trifling loss.
George W. McGinnis eighty plus and demented for two years was found frozen to death in the garden of his Van Deventer Avenue home in Princeton this morning. He reportedly climbed from his window to the garden last night, a ten foot drop, and was too injured to move.
Altoona January 20 Guy Z Wise a clerk at the stamp window of the Altoona Post Office is under arrest charged with robbing the mails. Valuable letters have been stolen over the past year with no clue to the thief. A decoy letter was sent today and found in Wise's pocket after a search. The full extent of his thefts is unknown.
Washington reports President McKinley convalescing rapidly with his best day in weeks. He rode in a carriage with Mrs. McKinley this afternoon and will again work briefly in the office tomorrow, then steadily increase active duties.
Mrs Eva Brown age 30 of 740 Ellsworth Street is in the Pennsylvania Hospital severely burned across her arms face and body after pouring kerosene into a stove to hasten the fire. Her sister Mary aided by wrapping a rug around her to smother the flames.
