A North Bangor Sunday school attendee, Lansing Plomb, opened a detonating cap and injured his hand while handling it during a Sunday service. The blast tore off a thumb and caused other minor injuries. Police note the incident as a dangerous mishap and are reviewing the objects involved.
General Frederick L. Funston left a hospital bed in Kansas City on February 18 to review the Third Regiment Missouri National Guard at Convention Hall. He appeared in good health and received a rousing reception from the troops.

Greenwich, Conn. February 18. A farmer from Mianus, Andrew J. Clark, faced a borough court dilemma to pay his wife and 7 year old daughter 4.50 a month for six months or go to jail for thirty days. He chose the support plan. Mrs. Clark described a harsh life with flour and potatoes and losing her broom. Clark bragged his wife dressed in rainbows while he wore still clothes. His brother posted 150 bond for support.
In Fremont Ohio on February 18 Mr and Mrs John Glosser were found at home in a pitiable state after gas had driven them to unconsciousness last Saturday. They recovered briefly but were too weak to move and lay frozen. Doctors say both arms and legs must be amputated and recovery is unlikely.
