Thieves at Newville Flats southeast corner of Thirteenth and Walnut, managed by Mrs Agnes Millis, have robbed three times this month. They first hit the fourth floor and descended one floor per visit, totaling about $2,000 in jewelry, silverware, books, and clothing, leaving residents shaken and police baffled.
Patrick Warde a Canadian Pacific brakeman died during a blizzard west of Winnipeg. An express line was snowed up at Sidewood sixty miles west of Swift Current.
