Jacob Smith faced charges for stealing a cape from Miss B Jackson at Pollock Public School. Coroner investigates the death of two year old Redmond S Condon from carbolic acid at his home on Emer Avenue. Julius Burd jailed after a fight on Fithge Kater streets. J Christian Price aged 18, son of Christian Price of 2708 Oxford Street, was arrested by Eighteenth district police around 7 pm on charges including forgery and obtaining money under false pretenses. Congress man Kerr chairman of the Democratic State committee arrives in Harrisburg. He appears on the House floor with Secretary Harrity, greeted by Democrats offering seats. Kerr flew in from Washington for talks with Governor Pattison and Harrity, staying with the governor most of the morning.
Democratic members of the Idaho Legislature held a caucus and reportedly agreed to back an effort to elect a United States Senator to contest Dubois seat. A resolution in the Senate would declare the March 4 term illegal and favor electing a successor to McConnell. Supporters of Judge Ett claim enough votes to pass the measure in both houses and on joint ballot.
A giant powder blast in the Weirfly tunnel of the White Quail Mine near Kokomo blew William Young and John Anderson to atoms. John Johnson John McLeod and Will Grane were badly injured as flying rock shattered bones. An accidental detonation of thirty sticks of giant powder caused the disaster.

Special Telegram to Tax Trxs Scranton February 6. Thomas Palmer son of Mine Boss Palmer died in a shaft accident at Jermyn's shaft. While being hoisted on the carriage the safe dogs caught and halted the carriage and Palmer was thrown to the bottom of the shaft about two hundred feet.

An unknown man believed to reside in Clementon New Jersey was struck and killed instantly by an engine at the intersection of St John and Willow streets last night. The body was removed to the Morgue and the Coroner notified. The victim appeared to be about 80 years old and was found near the scene.
The Third Regiment board of directors met at the armory to hear Col W B Smith's explanation of missing funds drawn on two headquarters warrants. Smith refused admission, extended grace to Feb 20, and pledged to make the board face the music while seeking possible investigation by General Snowden or Governor.
