A May 1871 New York Times issue shows Rosa R Winans and a lady, presumed to be Mrs. O Keefe. Sarah A Thorne testified that on June 21 1871 Winans visited her home and urged presenting his wife as Mrs. Williams to avoid disinheritance. The hearing was postponed.

Charlies Burton, a crew member, recounts the loss of the steam pleasure yacht G. G. Green, Jr. owned by G. G. Green of Woodbury. Yoho’s injunction halted Cope from further money collection under Yohe’s assignment. Cope contends Yohe admitted fund deficiency on leaving office, that Cope loaned money and paid notes, and Yohe owes about 1200. Proceedings continue.

A verdict of guilty with a mercy recommendation was returned yesterday in Camden Criminal Court in the case of George C. Wynkoop a Gloucester City politician and former Engrossing Clerk of the House of Assembly charged with assault on Gloucester City Chief of Police Isaac Marple. The jury had been out since Thursday. Wynkoop says he will move for a new trial and appeal if needed to the Supreme Court.
The Camden Democrats set their primary for the 15th, four days after the Republicans. Mayor William H. Stansbury of the Second ward declares himself a Democratic mayoral candidate. It is understood Mayor Bradshaw seeks a renomination.
