Special telegram details a bold plan by P. J. Claassen, George H. Pell, and James A. Simmons who seized control of the Sixth National and Lenox Hill Banks. A skull encased in tortoise shell and oyster shell ornaments may belong to the former ruler Kinewaugha whose descendants live along the shore. Four skeletons were found at a second spot and more later today with hundreds expected once the avenue is completed.

The marriage of Miss Mary B Hoyt daughter of millionaire Robert Hoyt of Shrewsbury New Jersey to Charles W Billings of Hoboken was performed by Justice Seymour in Hoboken on Thursday. Billings owns Count Luna and Leander whose 50 to 1 victory arrived just as the bride and groom started their new life. Hoyt forgives the union and plans a home for the couple near his own.
The New Jersey bantamweight Chappie Moran and Tommy Kelly of Harlem met at a road house near Easton Pa with Kelly winning after ten hard rounds. Bets on the special New York train reached 5000 dollars. Kelly weighed 105 pounds, Moran 1044 pounds. Kelly led with hard blows early and knocked Moran down in the fourth and again near the end, winning by knockout when Moran failed to rise after a final rally. The bout carried 250 dollars a side, 500 dollars purse, and the 105-pound world title then held by Moran.

A jury returned a verdict for Captain Edgar in Dr. John Sheets versus the Police Captain case regarding a false arrest during the Constitutional Centennial. Judge Pennypacker instructed that malice and lack of probable cause were needed to find against Edgar, noting stands on Fountain Square were built by Water Bureau employees under the Director’s authority.
