Thief Flees After Dangerous Bundle Found Near Main and Arlington
A Germantown officer spotted a man carrying a bundle at Main and Arlington streets early yesterday. The man dropped the bundle and fled as shots were fired. The container held two small kegs of powder and a stool stolen from B. Kerper's tool house at the German Hill Stone Quarry.

Robbery case over gold dust at German Town Junction
A shipment of gold dust stored in buckskin bags at the German Town Junction of the Pennsylvania Railroad was broken open on Tuesday but the dust remained undisturbed. Annie Delaney of Frankford road and Carroll street was arrested on suspicion of opening the case and is held in $500 bail for trial before Magistrate Neall.
