In Richmond Kentucky on April 5 General Cassius M. Clay fired at Sheriff H H Colyer and deputies during an attempt to execute a writ at Whitehall. He allegedly threatened to kill Mrs Mary B Clay if she did not leave. More than fifteen shots were exchanged without injuries.
