Fur Tax Law Upheld by Upper Court in Alaska Case
The Circuit Court of Appeals on May 28 upheld a fur tax in Alaska against Northern Commercial Company which argued the tax lacked statutory authority. The case followed the 1919 fur tax act and contested license-based tax immunity. The district ruling for the territory was affirmed.
