Large Petersburg Property Sale To The Trading Union
The Petersburg Packing Corporation will transfer a major portion of its assets including the store, wharf, warehouse buildings, six lots, two floats, and waterfront holdings to The Trading Union Incorporated for an estimated eighty to one hundred thousand dollars based on goods value. The Trading Union, a cooperative with about one hundred stockholders, will appoint a first board of directors and take over around April 1. Alaska will receive distillate for the fishing fleet this season, the only Pacific Coast area to do so.
