Two Horsemen Drink Harmful Liniment By Mistake
Two men, John Montgomery of Paris Illinois and Dan OBannon of Paoli Indiana, drank wood alcohol based horse liniment by mistake. They became seriously ill with eye damage and risk of blindness. Dr Rice treated them as the poison proved deadly with few recovering eye sight in time.

Oil man saved by swift action in Ford theft case
Roy Mitchell of Evansville, son of Dick Mitchell, is jailed on grand larceny charges after selling a Ford to an oil man for use as a jitney. The oil man recovered $200, thwarting the sale, and Mitchell and his accomplice were tracked to the depot and arrested. The car was returned to Evansville and the young woman owner reclaimed her vehicle. Mitchell faces up to two years in prison.
