Mysterious Spirits Plague Wayne County Family in 1869
A Wayne County Ohio family the Hoffmans endured a haunting begun in 1869 in Miersburg and later Wooster. Objects vanished moved or damaged without human aid and notes arrived from unknown sources. The family fled and endured further pranks as furniture and clothes were tampered with and strange phenomena continued, drawing comparison to famed ghost lore.
