Ambitious Polar Plan Faces Practical Hurdles

Ostave Pary, a member of the Freach and American Geographical Societies, doubts Captain Hall's polar project and aims to attempt the North Pole by route via Batring's Strait. The expedition would depart San Francisco July 10 for Petropaulki, Kamchatka, travel by land to Capakukan, 800 miles, with provisions and game stored for future needs. A unique gutta percha drill raft with canvas would aid movement, and communications with Capakukan would use carrier pigeons for photo copies of this Journal. The dispatch notes three expeditions, including Hull's and Sweden's, forming a reported league, per a Dispatch correspondent.
