Concord Baptist Association ends 41st annual session at Jonesboro
The Concord Baptist Association meeting closed its 41st session at Jonesboro near Forkmany Norway County. Delegates from Charlotte Mecklenburg and other counties attended with ministers and corresponding messengers. A proposed three hundred thousand dollar endowment for Richmond College was discussed, along with a mission report, and tensions from a Sunday visit by excursion trains bringing many African American worshippers to High Point. A plan to appoint Rev. S. A. Biot at High Point was adopted amid local unrest and calls for aid to destitute workers.
