A large audience attended the first Segregation Emphasis Month session in Crowdad Mississippi. Elsie Dinsmore spoke on "The Botch Made by the Scotch" and then attendees meditated on the alleged inferiority of the Scotch Irish race before Dr. Praetorius P. Prud homme ended with a malediction.
AT in Port Olympic Mississippi announces complete segregation of party lines effective immediately. A spokesman calls the system simple and effective and explains enforcement will require any user on lines where the same person is discussed to hang up or refrain from listening.
Dr Boswell J Kershee pastor of Second Baptist Spring Falls Nebraska had planned a pro spert address to Eighth Baptist Church in Miss Corn Pone but it was cancelled by a committee of laymen. The committee cited his background as reason. He admitted donations to Salvation Army and March of Dimes. A replacement speaker had not been found.
Reports from Mount Lelli White Mississippi describe a clash between rural Scotch-Irish residents and villagers over dancing and wind instruments in the square. Authorities note up to fifteen injuries as tensions flare amid tax and cultural control disputes.
