A reader recounts getting lost traveling to New Orleans via the new causeway after following directions from Margaret Olsen and Harvey Craft. The piece laments navigation errors, improvised routes, and the traveler’s admission of difficulty in solving travel problems.

Aimed at developing leaders, the program emphasizes education, civic responsibility, and leadership across state industries.
In Jones County farms, Mr. Farris displays a pin showing he donated three gallons to the American Red Cross Blood Program with plans to begin a fourth in January. A cache of two cases of beer was seized Sunday by Constable Harvey Collum and deputies under a search warrant. Farris bonded for 500 dollars, defending his long charity work with the March of Dimes.
Dr. Felix J. Underwood of Jackson enters a nineteenth year as State Chairman with Owen Cooper of Yazoo City as Associate State Chairman. They lead volunteers statewide to meet a national goal of 46.9 million dollars for polio care, vaccine research, and personnel training. The January 2–31 campaign seeks to aid 80 000 polio victims and advance patient quality of life.
