Great Western and other steamers shorten voyage times
The Great Western left the city on the 9th ult and reached Kingroad, Bristol, on the 24th. Roscoe sailed on the 6th ult and was telegraphed off Holyhead on the 27th. Hibernia sailed the 12th ult and telegraphed off Holyhead after 17 days. Memphis left the city the same day and arrived in port the 29th. Steam has not shown its usual superiority over wind in these three voyages.
