A bottle found on Tottenville beach contained a two piece cigarette paper note signed by George Ward of Perth Amboy New Jersey claiming he jumped overboard at a ticket house and saying goodbye. Police say the alleged incident is a hoax and Mrs. Rundgreen of Tottenville handed the bottle to Chief Burke for safekeeping.

Two men arrested in New York for the Greenspan Brothers horse and wagon theft were released on bonds yesterday for a hearing Friday at Essex Market Police Court.
