83 Men Entombed in a West Virginia Mine Blast
A mine of United States Coal and Coke in Jed, West Virginia, exploded at 7 06 this morning entombing 83 workers. Eighty six miners were present three escaped and rescue crews faced deadly black damp gas. The government ordered two special rescue cars to Jed and Pittsburgh to aid in reaching the entombed miners.
