Mixed metaphors in political debate from the Manchester Guardian
The Manchester Guardian notes the flourish of mixed metaphors in political theatre especially the house of commons. It cites Bishop Knox on McKenna’s loaded pistol image and comments on irreligion, intemperance, and the educational act as debated by Dr. Clifford. It also mentions moisture in tobacco as a contentious topic.
