Keyport observers report a daily noon aeroplane flight between New York and Philadelphia since the aero mail service began. On Wednesday the aircraft was clearly seen at a high altitude, estimated around four thousand feet, with the motor barely audible.

Jamesburg June 13 Raymond Roam of Spotswood was jailed in borough hall and charged by County Constable Peter Schweikert with talking disrespectfully of the United States and with having a concealed gun in his home. Since Roam is not a citizen it is unlawful for him to possess a gun. He was taken to New Brunswick.
Andrew Novak crashed into a wagon driven by Mrs. Inselberg on his return home from Spotswood damaging a wheel. No injuries. Collision settled fifty fifty with Inselberg on the wrong side of the road. William Van Pelt Sr. and wife report their son William Van Pelt Jr. safely arrived overseas after sailing about three weeks ago. Albro Mason from Long Island has moved into the Shostak house and works for the Oliver Loading Co. at Old Bridge. The Young People’s Society of the First Baptist church held a well attended festival with a sold out sign and good proceeds. Hazen Witty of Augusta street plans a weeklong vacation. The Jamesburg Concert band begins concerts on the second and fourth Thursday nights in June and July in Triangle Park weather permitting. The Altar Society of St James Catholic Church will hold a June festival and dance in St James hall Saturday night with dancing. Marshal Fillhower shot a dog at the Shapiro home in upper Jamesburg after it was injured. Peter Junko has filed a complaint against Michale Shekiro for making threats. a hearing will be held in borough hall.
The Guild of St. George's Memorial Church festival and moving picture night drew a large crowd and yielded a neat profit, part of which was donated to the Red Cross unit. The Helme Company adds about a dozen ready to erect cottages to ease housing for new employees. Ralph Richards visits from Ayer Mass. A thunder shower struck at 9 40 yesterday morning destroying a large farm barn on Miss Jean Herbert’s property near Lafayette school house four miles north of Freehold. Outbuildings including two barns machine house wagon house and two corn cribs burned with 1000 bushels of corn hay and straw and small utensils lost. Firemen aided by neighbors saved livestock and remaining machinery. Loss about 4000 with half covered by insurance.

Friends of Miss Myrtle Van Pelt held a personal shower at the home of Mr and Mrs George M Harris on Broad Street last night. Miss Dorothy Pengle visited Matawan yesterday. Jacob A Lewis joined a New York visit. Attorney and Mrs Jacob R Lefferts welcomed a newborn Tuesday. Joseph Warwick remains at home on Atlantic Avenue due to illness but is improving.
The Helmetta public school honor roll for May lists students by year. Names include first year Leonard Dembowski and Stella Bielat, third year William Firestine and Julia Timko, fifth year Mariana Gregorzski and Anna Gemza, seventh year Edward Stopinski and John Bielot, among others.
On Tuesday Mrs. Charles X. Crawford entertained several friends with cards at a 500 party in Keyport. Prize winners included Mrs. Elmer E. Morris first for silk hose, Mrs. Norman B. Lockwood second for handkerchiefs, and Mrs. William T. Van Mater third for a fern dish. Guests present included numerous Wallings Campbell Arm strong and other locals.

South Amboy reports that John Keating of upper Henry street was notified of his brother Michael Keating of Brooklyn being killed in action. Michael Keating's name also appears among yesterday's casualties. he lives at Fifth street and Fifth avenue.
