George Becker, foreman of electricians at Public School No. 8, stepped on a nail on Tuesday causing a painful injury to his left foot. He was treated by a physician and laid up at his boarding place on Wooly Avenue. Richard Thavis will supervise the work until Becker recovers.

They were guests of owner Rev George T Donlin of New York City. Donlin is brother to Police Surgeon Donlin of Richmond borough.

The South Baptist Sunday School held its annual picnic at Sea Breeze. Members met at the Main street church at 9 30 AM and traveled by wagon and gasoline launch to the grounds. Activities included games running races sack races and bathing. Superintendent Hugh Newton and Assistant Superintendent Ernest Irrerichs led the event with refreshments and ice cream. Return time was about 5 PM.
