Perth Amboy Death Rate Drops in State Health Report
Special to the Evening News. Trenton reports Perth Amboy’s death rate per thousand last year was 12.70, down from 14.82, despite population growth. Among second class cities, Perth Amboy ranks with a low rate as New Brunswick, Bridgeton, Bayonne, Plainfield, and Passaic show higher figures. Total deaths numbered 256 with main causes including diphtheria, tuberculosis, infantile diarrhoea, pneumonia, convulsions, and accidents.

Divorce Case Filed in Fairfield for Absolute Desertion
Mrs. Ann T. Moffett of Fairfield Woodbridge township Middlesex county filed a chancery petition for absolute divorce from Wilbur H. Moffett alleging desertion since April 1888. Married April 9 1884 at Fairfield by Rev James G. Mason they lived with her father on a farm for four years. She states he abandoned the marriage and has not supported her for two years. they have two surviving children John William Moffett 17 and Ernest Cutter Moffett 16. She also seeks alimony and support.
