She was unconscious for hours, then semi conscious, in fragile condition at home of Frederick I. Brown at 240 State Street.

Dunbar Hall, Philips Exeter Academy's only wooden dorm, burned early today in Exeter New Hampshire. Thirty five students leapt from second story windows as smoke filled hallways. Instructor Lawrence Crosby suffered severe burns but is expected to recover. Several boys were awakened by smoke and fled without saving belongings. Telephone trouble from cable grounding in Staten Island
A grounded cable at West Brighton Staten Island at 8 this morning caused significant trouble for the N Y and N J Telephone Company. The issue stemmed from a wet splice and linemen located the fault. Weaker connections disrupted New York calls and a trolley car toppled a pole near Florida Grove last night cutting several lines. repairs will proceed quickly.

Car racing wreck near Florida Grove ends with no passengers
A Public Service Corp car No. 1161 left Keasbey at 9:08 PM and derailed on a hill west of the Florida Grove switch, smashing a telephone pole. Motorman Niels Nelson and Conductor William Trotter jumped to safety. both were treated for injuries, no passengers aboard. A wrecking crew cleared the scene and the car was moved to the barns by 10 AM.
