The Ancient Order of United Workmen plans elegant quarters on the entire second floor of Barley and Robinson’s new block, five year lease with ten year option. The A O U W has paid out 42000 in death benefits, and the block demolition and construction proceed as weather allows. One first floor room will house Barley and Robinson’s clothing business with a 20 foot wide display room and grand show windows.
The Advertiser notes claims that Mr Giddings is bound not to seek city solicitor, based on an agreement before a two year old Republican caucus. Fahey violated the pact, rendering Giddings an unwilling candidate now on the Citizens ticket, with supporters urging him to step aside if possible.
Perry voters faced a dramatic school election with late nominations. At Friday’s caucus Bob Diddy and Fred Wnell won director spots while S. Siohues claimed treasure against Elliott and Knell. Election day saw a new ticket with Diddy and Elliott for directors and G. E. Dilenbeck for treasurer as voters flocked to the old city hall polling place. The tally showed a notably close contest between Elliott and Knell for director.
Mrs Eli Peterson, described as insane, fired a revolver at times and alarmed neighbors from a roof perch near the stock yards. Sheriff Payne moved her to the county asylum after a trip from Adell. Her ex husband resides at Boone and her daughter and grandchild are now in authorities care.

They examined Excelsior Patent flour from Excelsior Mill Co of Yankton South Dakota, finding it rich in gluten, low in starch, nutritious and digestible with uniformly good baking results. The flour is sold at Perry store PF Dignan on North Second Street.
