The Perry Exodus From Angus After Coal Runout

The Angus coal deposit failed and a strike, forcing residents to move to Perry four miles south. Perry grew from a rail division station, drawing houses on wheels and runners as Angus dwindled from 3,000 to under 50. Perry boomed yet relies on Milwaukee earnings, while still boasting water works, gas, electric light, and a new heating system.
