Naval engagement with Dutch fleet near Camperden 1653
Fragmentary account recalls crews saved from several ships after a Dutch fleet confrontation. The warship Oste lost many aboard while others were saved, and a Dutch exchange occurred amid shifting winds and night engagements. Parliament notes a July 31 resolution praising merciful deeds and seeking glory for the Lord.
