Death of Esteemed Citizen John Day
Esteemed citizen John Day died Monday at noon after months of illness. He was known for noble character and quiet piety. The funeral was held Tuesday at 3 pm at the church with Rev. J. A. Cleland officiating and pallbearers including P. H. Kraut and Chas. Were. His brother Edward Day endured his long illness with devotion, leaving two sisters in Ontario and Virginia to mourn.
