Bank permits transactions by mail with any branch. Customers may open accounts and deposit or withdraw funds by mail. Out-of-town accounts receive full attention.

William Stassell faced Justices Wade and Clement for stealing items from cabins of H Leir and Mr O Connell. From Leir’s cabin he took a revolver a hunting knife two razors and other trinkets. From O Connell’s he took a coat a pair of shoes a hammer and a clock. The coat identified led to the arrest by Constable Tooth. He pleaded guilty and received six months hard labor for each offence to run concurrently.
The certificate of incorporation for the Southern Okanagan Canning Co of Penticton has been received by directors. A growers interview committee reports at least seventy five tons of tomatoes can be counted on this year, which will be about all the factory can handle this season.
W I Welby will run a stage covering the Penticton to Keremeos route with departures at 5 a.m on Tuesdays Thursdays and Saturdays connecting with the Great Northern Railway and Princeton stages at Keremeos. The return arrives in Penticton at 12 noon on Mondays Wednesdays and Fridays. F Royer runs Keremeos to Princeton and D J Innis holds the mail stage between the same points. When the railway reaches Princeton, Penticton stages will connect with trains at Keremeos both east and west and expect increased passenger traffic.

The Board of Trade notes a sparsely attended discussion on Penticton incorporation and calls a formal public meeting to allow full debate. Taxation stays neutral. a petition by majority property interests is needed to push the process before June 18, 1908, for an effective date January 1, 1909.
