National POW/MIA Recognition Day event planned in Altoona
A ceremony on September 21 at 1 p.m. will honor Prisoners of War and those Missing in Action at the James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center Altoona. Presented by the VA and the medical center, the event occurs in the pavilion near visitor parking. The POW/MIA flag will fly along with six other federal observance days.
