Teen designs games for fire company summer carnival
Fourteen year old Troy Young of Stormstown designed two unique carnival games as part of his Eagle Scout project for the Warriors Mark Franklin Volunteer Fire Company. The projects involved 200 plus hours and $500 raised by the Troop to fund construction. The Port Matilda fire company initially planned the event but postponed, yet Young’s games found a new showcase with the Warriors.

Fatal crash on 199 near Snyder Township kills driver
Early yesterday morning a 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche traveling south on 199 left the roadway at Mile Marker 53, entered the median, traveled 225 feet, and rolled several times across the road. The driver was ejected and died at the scene. Police report the crash occurred at 3:21 a.m. north of Snyder Township.
