Antis Township board updates park work and sewer projects
The Antis Township Supervisors approved agenda items at their public meeting. Chairman Ray Amato reported 98 percent completion of BA Community Park improvements with cement pads and pool area work awaiting John Nastase Construction. Supervisor Robert Smith outlined the Northern Blair Regional Sewer Authority plan to add four meter stations at a cost of 120,000 dollars, to be installed in 30 to 45 days, and noted renovations planned for Tipton.

Paint the Town Purple campaign kicks off in Northern Blair County
Tyrone and Bellwood residents join Relay for Life of Northern Blair County in a community effort to decorate homes and businesses in purple. The campaign runs July 1 to July 14 with photo submissions for a display at 1004 Terete Juniata Street Hollidaysburg and the Relay event on July 13 at Memorial Field Bellwood Antis High School.

Summer Concert in the Park kicks off July 8 with Ride the Song
Tyrone Regional Arts Council and Tyrone Borough present eight free summer concerts at Reservoir Park amphitheater starting Sunday at 6 p.m. Rain moves to Pavilion No. 1. The opening act Ride the Song features Kevin Steiner Tim McMillen and Phil McCaulley performing folk blues and Elvis tunes with a Bellwood origin. Other groups include Michael O Bri an Irish band Second Winds Jazz Band Zupe Full Kil t and Raining Blue. State College Sr Citizen Band returns August 19.
