Tyrone District finalist for America's Farmers Grow Rural Education grant
Tyrone Area School District in Tyrone has been named a finalist among 19 Pennsylvania districts for possible grants of 10 000 to 25 000 dollars. The nationwide program by Monsanto Fund plans to award about 2.3 million in 2012 to eligible rural districts.

Antis Township Supervisors Hear Resident Complaints On Chickens
The Antis Township Supervisors met to discuss monthly business and hear public concerns. Tipton residents complained about a neighbor's chickens and ducks entering their property, with the issue described as ongoing this summer and previously addressed. The board delegated to the Ordinance Enforcement Officer to determine if ordinances qualify as a nuisance and possible action. Full Kilt to Play at Tyrone Summer Concert in Park
