Salvation Army offers camp opportunities for Tyrone children

Fifteen Tyrone area children attended Camp Allegheny a week long summer program run by the Tyrone Salvation Army. The Christian based camp for ages 6 to 12 offered archery arts and crafts sports boating fishing hiking swimming singing acting group competitions daily devotions and Sunday worship. Each child received a camp tee shirt three meals daily and a bedtime snack while staying in a cabin and making new friends. Alex is Williams 11 of Tyrone said it is a lot of fun and has attended the camp for three years with her two [readers].
