European researchers tracked over 1000 Lynch syndrome patients, giving daily aspirin to half and placebo to the rest for about four years. In the aspirin group six developed colon cancer versus sixteen on placebo, suggesting a potential preventive effect and prompting calls for further study despite potential side effects and the need for medical guidance.
