Quick sentenced for drug smuggling at Clearfield jail
Clearfield County Judge Paul E Cherry sentenced Brandie Jean Quick, 29, to nine months to three years in a state prison for possession of contraband in jail after information indicated she brought Klonopin into the facility in April 2000. She also faces a $250 DNA testing fee and counseling requirements. Her probation was revoked and she received an additional one year probation on a bad check charge with 30 days in jail.

YMCA final lunch menu for summer program week
The Moshannon Valley YMCA releases the week of Aug 3 summer lunch menu. Monday features deli turkey on a roll, cheesy pasta, diced tomatoes, applesauce and chocolate milk. Tuesday offers pasta salad with garlic breadsticks and fruit while Wednesday serves breaded chicken and wedges with corn and fruit. Thursday provides hamburgers with tater tots and green beans and peaches. Friday is cook’s choice and the program concludes with thanks and invitation to return next summer.
