Eight-Generation Land Legacy in Lawrence Township
Land traced through eight generations in Lawrence Township now owned by Dr. Richard and Susan Williams. Historical notes name Hugh McMullen born 1793 and Constant McMullen Carns, with land transfers dating to 1834 and wills in 1870. The 30 acre parcel, once shown in Caldwell’s 1878 atlas, remains in the family as the Williams restore the landscaped property home on Old Town Road with riding lessons for Susan and daughters Emily and Elizabeth.
