New program promotes conservation stewardship for producers
Pennsylvania unveils the Conservation Stewardship Program a voluntary initiative to help agricultural and forestry producers maintain and add conservation practices. Administered by NRCS, CSP offers payments based on planned enhancements, with five year contracts and up to 40 000 dollars per year per participant. Applications due by September 30 with initial ranking after screening.
