Big Rig Show and Expo returns to Clearfield Park
The Big Rig Show and Expo comes to Clearfield Driving Park on Friday and Saturday August 28 and 29. Admission is free with events starting Friday at 6 p.m. including show trucks Light the Night Parade Make-A-Wish Convoy Joey Holiday entertainment vendors food and trucker games. A big rig truck pull is set for August 29 at 7 p.m. Tickets cost 15 and are sold at the fair office weekdays 9 a.m. to noon and 1-4 p.m.

Charges waived in kidnapping case in Clearfield County
Dubois a Clearfield man Glenn Robinson aged 40 waived kidnapping charges at centralized court yesterday. He also waived counts of unlawful restraint interference with child custody and several gun and assault charges stemming from a July 24 incident in which he persuaded a 15 year old girl to enter his truck and held her at Parker Dam State Park threatening to shoot her, with a 30 06 rifle involved and the victim struck during a failed escape attempt.
