A two year study on Anderson Creek Moose Creek and Montgomery Run highlights AMD reducing pH and raising heavy metal levels. Downstream sections suffer, affecting fish and invertebrates while upstream sites serve as water sources for Clearfield residents. The study informs anglers and will be posted at www.wbsrc.com. Woman Dies In Centre County Motorcycle Crash
Mae Welker a 73 year old from Towanda lost control while riding south on SR 64 in Walker Township causing a slide into the northbound lane. She was struck by a car driven by Magdalena Lubert of Selinsgrove and died. Welker wore a helmet and was ejected from the Honda motorcycle.
