Water rule raises costs for well water on Dungeness lands
SEQUIM residents and rural East Clallam County property owners face a $1000 added cost to water lawns when drilling new wells or using water from existing rights under the Dungeness Water rule. Mitigation certificates and meters will be required. indoor use limits apply in some areas. Existing wells are exempt. A Thursday workshop at John Wayne Marina outlined mitigation credits and rule effects from Washington Water Trust Ecology and Clallam County.
